Maximo Rosalie: Afro-Caribbean artist and host on Nohô

Introduction

Songwriter, rapper, poet, and entertainer, Maximo Rosalie draws his inspiration from Cuba and Martinique. His musical universe blends reggaeton, Afrobeat, dancehall, bouyon, and Latin and Caribbean sounds.

Based in France, he shares a sunny energy through his music, driven by love, joy, and cultural diversity. On Nohô, he creates a space for exchange and creation for all music lovers.

Can you introduce yourself?

Of course. My name is Maximo Rosalie. I am a songwriter, rapper, poet, host, and entertainer.

Currently, I focus mainly on Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro music: reggaeton, dancehall, afrobeat, bouyon, bachata… These are styles that are very present in the geographical area where I was born.

I was born in Cuba, I also lived in Martinique, and my father is from Martinique. All these musical influences gradually blended together to form my musical identity.

Now in France, I try to share my good humor, my joy, my love, and my energy through my songs.

Can you tell us a little bit about your journey?

My journey began about 10 years ago, when I started writing my first songs. I learned to improvise different styles and rhythms. I also started writing poems and taking singing lessons.

Very quickly, I participated in several events in my town and in a national hip-hop competition in 2016. Over time, I continued to study music and write every year, and I felt a real evolution, both in my identity and in my musical universe, particularly in urban music.

Today, in 2026, I am mainly focused on Latin and Caribbean music.

Do you participate in concerts?

Yes, of course. In February, I will be invited to the Madi Square Garden festival, organized by Blackmoz92. It is a festival that will take place in a magical and iconic location near the Eiffel Tower on February 28 at the wine museum.

It will be a big party, with fashion shows, exhibitions, concerts by several talented artists… and I will perform several original and unreleased songs.

What do you offer on Nohô?

I offer an ad to talk about music and make friendly encounters. The idea is to chat with other enthusiasts and musicians, and maybe even collaborate and create new songs together. We can also innovate with other artists.

I am also open to sharing how to:

  • write songs
  • write poems
  • improvise
  • but also to give my tips after ten years as a host, speaker, and public speaker

I want to share my knowledge through the Nohô platform, which is a really great concept.

Do you have a favorite song?

Yes, I have a soft spot for a song called “Phénoménal”. It’s a reggaeton song I wrote last year, where I mix French, Spanish, and English. It hasn’t been released yet, but every time I sing it in concert, the room transforms and people love it.

That always makes me really happy.

Do you have an important message to share?

Yes. Not just as an artist or entrepreneur, but as a person: you have to take risks.

It’s important to explore and support others. We know that it’s by taking risks that we grow, just as it’s by taking risks that we learn.

And it’s by taking risks that we discover ourselves.

That’s a message I’d really like to convey to everyone who wants to get into this field, especially young people.

Conclusion

Between Cuba, Martinique, and France, Maximo Rosalie embodies festive and deeply human music. His Afro-Caribbean universe is a bridge between cultures, rhythms, and emotions.

Through his concerts, collaborations, and announcement on Nohô, he champions an artistic vision based on positive energy, boldness, and transmission.
