Interview with Tshitende, artist and creator of the “Transcendance Musique” universe

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Josue. It’s a biblical name: Joshua was Moses’s servant and, for some, a prophet in his own right.

The name means “God saves,” which is significant for me because I incorporate a real spiritual dimension into the musical universe I’m building: Transcendance Musique.

I’m 33 years old, my stage name is Tshitende, and you can find me under that name on social media. I live in Île-de-France, in L’Île-Saint-Denis, on the outskirts of Paris.

Can you tell us about your musical journey?

My musical journey began quite late. I was originally a business school student, after completing a preparatory class. For a long time, I put all my energy into my studies, putting my personal life on the back burner. I already had a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and my goal was to build solid professional projects.

But music was always there, in the background. In 2015, when I was 22, I started creating songs with my family. My nephews in Switzerland were the first to listen to me, encourage me, and even record me. Thanks to them, I gained confidence. Then their friends started asking me for more songs. That’s how it all started. After completing my master’s degree in international business at INSEEC, I realized that I had real artistic potential. So I left Switzerland to return to France and devote myself fully to music.

One event was also decisive. In 2016, I lost my grandmother, to whom I was very close. She was the one who kept telling me that I was made for music and that I should devote myself to it. After her death, I decided to take my passion seriously.

My artistic career really took off in 2017.

I was destined for academic studies and a “traditional” life. But this difficult experience awakened something much deeper within me. Through my creative work and audience feedback, I realized that I had to commit myself 100% to this path.

What values guide you?

My personal history is complex. I grew up in a large family, I was adopted, and I experienced several family separations. My journey has never been easy. But it is precisely these experiences that have shaped my values.

I was taught to fight, to stand tall in the face of adversity. That’s where my concept of transcendence comes from. For me, transcendence means going beyond your limits, surpassing yourself, refusing to remain trapped in what life imposes on you.

Among my core values, the first is resilience.

Next is creativity: I’ve always felt the need to create something new, to explore, to innovate.

There is also authenticity. I want to remain sincere in what I create and in my relationships. I am a whole person.

Finally, there is quality. My education taught me to strive for excellence. I prefer to offer less, but to offer something solid, profound, and well-crafted.

Can you tell us about your current musical project?

I’ve already released several projects. They are part of a journey.

Today, I am evolving. I started out as an artist, but now I am also developing my role as a producer.

My current project is called Nouvelle Vibe.

Since the beginning of my career, I have been gradually building a world of transcendence. Each project is a step. This one marks a turning point: I am no longer working solely as a solo artist. I can now include other artists and bring a collective vision to the table.

I am releasing it as an executive producer. It is a project conceived as a compilation, in the spirit of what Quincy Jones used to do: overall artistic direction, identity, consistency.

Can you tell us about your two announcements on Nohô?

Meeting about the album release

The first announcement is a meeting about my music project and my career.

I really enjoy talking about music, explaining my creative process, and sharing my journey. Since I wasn’t initially destined to become an artist, my career often resonates with many people.

I come from an entrepreneurial background, and I naturally blended that vision with my music. This announcement is an opportunity for exchange, discussion, and transmission around artistic creation and the meaning we give it.

Meeting about brand creation

The second announcement concerns a project that came about almost naturally: Transcendance Industrie.

Originally, I created clothing for my artists based on my label’s visual identity. But people started to like the logo, identify with it, and want to wear it.

I then realized that there was something to develop. It became a clothing brand in its own right, accessible to all, embodying the values of transcendence: surpassing oneself, identity, inner strength.

This announcement provides an opportunity to discuss this project, to talk about brand creation, identity, vision, and creative entrepreneurship.

Conclusion

Through his music, his projects, and his vision, Tshitende seeks not only to produce sounds: he is building a whole universe. A space where creation becomes a tool for personal transformation, where pain becomes strength, and where every journey, even a bumpy one, can become a source of light.

His contributions to Nohô are fully in line with this approach: creating connections, transmitting, inspiring, sharing. Meeting Tshitende is much more than just talking to an artist. It is entering into a dynamic of surpassing oneself, guided by sincerity, depth, and the search for meaning.
