Interview with Jackie, intuitive artist and sophrologist in Seine-et-Marne

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Jackie.

I live in Seine-et-Marne, near Paris. I am an intuitive artist and artistic facilitator.

Can you tell us about your professional background?

I spent most of my professional life working in business. I then worked as a manager for over twenty years.

Over time, I realized that what really motivated me was relationships and human contact.

That’s what led me to retrain in sophrology. I took several courses, notably with Sandrine Sananes, who developed her own method, Le Geste de Peindre (The Gesture of Painting), and who works in collaboration with the Montessori schools in Paris.

As I have been an intuitive artist for a long time, I wanted to build a bridge between these two worlds: art and coaching. Today, it is this combination that is at the heart of my practice.

Can you tell us more about your art and your passion?

I draw and paint very regularly, almost every week.

I have no formal artistic training, and for me it’s important to say that: my approach is free, intuitive, accessible.

Art is above all a space for emotional liberation. It’s a time for yourself, a moment to reconnect with your creativity, to return to the present.

My inspiration comes largely from my origins: I’m from the island of Réunion, and Spain also inspires me enormously. The colors, the light, the warmth… all of this is naturally reflected in my work.

You offer two experiences on Nohô. Can you tell us about them?

An encounter with intuitive art

In this first announcement, I share my world as an intuitive artist.

My art is guided by emotions, colors, and movement. I never start with a fixed idea. I apply colors, draw lines, and then let myself be guided by what I feel and what I see emerging.

Sometimes the result is very powerful, sometimes more subtle, but it doesn’t matter. What matters is the process.

I also often write short texts to accompany my creations, depending on my inspiration at the time.

What I want to convey through this encounter is this free relationship with creation, this joy of colors, this light.

It’s a time for exchange with people who are curious to learn more, or who want to understand how to develop their own inspiration.

“Art Relax” workshop: introduction to art through sophrology

The second announcement is for a more guided workshop.

I combine sophrology and artistic creation. I draw inspiration from both the method I discovered with Sandrine Sananes and a Japanese practice where painting is normally done in silence. I combine the two in my own way.

It is not art therapy in the strict sense. These workshops are based on kindness, relaxation, and letting go.

We start with a period of refocusing and breathing, then everyone creates freely, without judgment.

These workshops are open to children and adults, and can even be experienced in an intergenerational format. I sometimes welcome mothers with their children. The idea is really to create a gentle, accessible space where everyone can express themselves freely.

Conclusion

Through her approach, Jackie reminds us that creativity is not reserved for “trained” artists, but belongs to each and every one of us.

Her sensitive, sunny, and deeply human approach makes her encounters on Nohô much more than just workshops: they are true moments of respite, of reconnecting with oneself, and of creative freedom.

Meeting Jackie is like treating yourself to a moment outside of time, where colors become language, emotions flow freely, and creativity becomes a natural and joyful space once again.
